FAQs

Q: How much breastmilk do you need to make a keepsake?
A: Less than 1 oz! I only need about 1/2 oz in order to make ~4-6 keepsakes. If you are mailing it, please never send more than 1 oz.

Q: How do I send you my breastmilk?
A: If you are mailing it, please send no more than 1 oz of thawed breastmilk. It can be expired! Please send it in a milk storage bag within another milk storage bag and then within another milk storage or ziplock bag, so it is triple bagged. Please be sure to use at least 2 milk storage bags-ziplocks will leak. If you are local we will arrange a time for drop off or pick up.

Q: How much cremation ashes do you need to make a keepsake?
A: About 1-2 table spoons. I will always return/send back any ashes that were not used.

Q: What can be made into a keepsake?
A: Breastmilk, ashes, flowers, baby hair, and pet fur are the most popular. But I can turn many things into keepsakes, such as birthstones, sand/soil, and fabric. Send me a message if you're not sure.

Q: How do I ship you my breastmilk?
A: If you are not local, you will need to mail me your milk at your expense. Please never send the last of your breastmilk, just in case it gets lost in the mail or leaks. Once you place an order I will send you shipping instructions and tips. 1 oz of thawed milk that is triple bagged in a bubble wrap envelope usually costs $5-$10 to ship with USPS.

Q: How long do keepsakes last?
A: If you take proper care of your keepsake stone, they will last a lifetime. I don't recommend everyday wear for keepsakes. Certain metals will also last longer than others and are priced accordingly. I will send care instructions with your keepsake.
